Let’s Have Sex!
About
The author of this play is Valentin Krasnogorov, a prolific Russian-Israeli playwright and the former vice-mayor of Haifa. Let’s Have Sex! is a paradoxical and provocative parable about relationships between men and women. Behind the flamboyant title and ironic dialogues, hides great anguish about a loveless life with only sex left to enjoy. Roman Viktyuk examines this sense of despair in his production, leading his audience to an unexpected finale: Sister (Ludmila Pogorelova) reads a tragic monologue about frightening solitude, which we can be saved from only with true feelings. Roman Viktyuk gives this eccentric, funny and at the same time sad show an impressionist tint: the more vivid the colors are, the more intense the loneliness becomes.
